The Hawaiʻi Film Critics Society (HFCS) is a non-profit organization of Hawaiʻi-based film critics who are regularly published, in print or online, within the pae ʻāina.
The HFCS aims to:
Showcase Hawaiʻi-based film critics and their work. The HFCS website will feature articles, books, video reviews, podcasts, and interviews by Society members.
Encourage both new and established film critics to hone their craft and know that there is a place for them and their work to be recognized.
Share a variety of perspectives on films both old and new so that they can gain greater exposure and a wider platform. At year’s end, we vote on and create our own Year’s Best list to share with the press.
