Barry Wurst
Barry Wurst II is a senior editor & film critic at MAUIWatch. He writes film reviews for a local Maui publication and taught film classes at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs (UCCS). Wurst also co-hosted podcasts for Screengeeks.com and has been published in Bright Lights Film Journal and in other film-related websites. He is currently featured in the new MAUIWatch Podcast - The NERDWatch.
Myong Choi
Myong Choi is a blogger for the local entertainment website Frolic Hawaiʻi. He’s always on the lookout for the latest news in film, TV and pop culture. Sometimes vocal and always opinionated, he’s ready to share his thoughts and experiences on what’s going on around town.
Rick Chatenever
During his award-winning journalistic career, Rick Chatenever has been reviewing movies for more than 35 years in print, television and radio. In Santa Cruz, California, where he was entertainment editor of the Santa Cruz Sentinel, his mini-reviews were syndicated and he also hosted "Talking Movies" featuring reviews and interviews on television.
After becoming the entertainment and features editor of The Maui News in the early '90s, his job duties included an award-winning weekly column, reviews, interviews and mini-reviews, as well as talking about "What's Playing" in a weekly segment on Manaʻo Radio. He has covered and led panels at the Maui Film Festival from its inception, and is an Emmy-nominated documentary scriptwriter and producer, a freelance journalist and a lecturer at the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College.
Terry Hunter
Terry Hunter has been reviewing movies at the CBS affiliate in Honolulu (KGMB-TV) since 1992. He also contributes to KHNL-TV and KFVE-TV. Terry was born and raised in Ohio. He graduated from Kent State University and the University of Illinois. He also studied filmmaking in the graduate program at Stanford. Before getting into television, Terry taught English at the University of Hawaiʻi and wrote film reviews for a now defunct bi-weekly called "Sunbums." Until October of 2009 he also shot, wrote, and edited news stories. He's married to the artist, Nancy Vilhauer.
Greg Turner
Greg "G Money" Turner is a professional on-air personality. He has worked for multiple radio stations on Maui (Da Jam 98.3, Wild 105.5). He started hosting the mid-day show on Wild 105.5, and then moved on to hosting the night show on Da Jam 98.3. Finally, he moved on to co-hosting the # 1 rated morning show on Maui, “The Big Phat Morning Show” with his partner Neldon “AZD” Mamuad. He became a controversial figure in media with his outstated opinions on politics, current events and entertainment. He currently is an editor and reviewer for the most progressive media site on Maui, MAUIWatch. He is the executive producer and host of the NERDWatch podcast where he can be heard weekly talking about the latest in nerd culture from an island perspective.
Greg became a member of the Hawaii Film Critic Society in 2016. His love of film came from his father. He grew up down the street from where “Karate Kid Part II” was filmed.
Jason David
Jason David is a gamer, nerd, and author. As a dedicated member of the NERDWatch Nation, he brings his vast knowledge of various fandoms to the NERDWatch Podcast. Jason joined the Hawaiʻi Film Critic Society in 2016.
Aron Medeiros
Aron Medeiros lives on the beautiful island of Maui. He is a movie critic for Maui Watch and a commentator and cast member of the NerdWatch pod cast. He is a 2003 graduate from King Kekaulike High School. His favorite film of all time is "Back To The Future." He has worked at Consolidated Kaahumanu Theaters for nearly 13 years as a Sales Associate and making his way up to Assistant Manager. He has loved movies since he was a young boy, learning about movies from his Grandfather and being self-taught.
